CHARAKA pays top priority to Ayurveda research as it aids the metamorphosis of ancient Ayurveda wisdom for the benefit of the present humanity. Research and Development (R & D) Center of Charaka is well equipped and is engaged in various research activities spanning all the areas of Ayurveda research and specially working on some of the major diseases. It also has formulated and tried various new formulations, which are found very effective in these diseases. The department also ensures the quality of the products of Charaka by keeping a close watch on each and every phase of production and by monitoring with its scrupulous criteria
