What is Twin Heart Meditation?
There are hundreds of meditations known to us, such as Zen meditation, Vipassana meditation, Metta meditation, and the like - but Twin Hearts meditation is a positive life transformation one. This technique of meditation was developed and taught by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui. Grand Master Choa Kok Sui is a chemical engineer, successful businessman, philanthropist and internationally renowned author, teacher and Grand Master Pranic Healer. He heads the Institute for Inner Studies and the World Pranic Healing Foundation in Manila.
This meditation is truly special and it works on the physical, mental, and spiritual levels to open the heart chakra (the emotional heart) and the crown chakra (the spiritual heart). This enables you to draw down a great amount of high-quality divine energy into the crown. The prana that this meditation produces greatly promotes physical and mental health as well as inner illumination.
What is Twin Heart Meditation?
Meditation on Twin Hearts is based on the principle that some of the major chakras are entry points or gateways to certain levels or horizons of consciousness. To attain illumination or cosmic consciousness, it is absolutely necessary to fully activate the crown chakra. And, this can be done only when the heart chakra is fully activated. The Twin Hearts, thus refers to the heart and crown chakras.
The heart chakra is an energy center in front of a person's chest, and it is the energy equivalent of the physical heart. The heart chakra is the seat of compassion, joy, affection, mercy, and other advanced emotions. The heart chakra is an exact facsimile, or twin of the center of the crown chakra.
Look at the heart chakra, and you will see that it has twelve petals, just like the twelve petals which form the inner core of the crown chakra. The crown chakra, is the centre of illumination, divine love, and oneness with all. It is located at the top of a person's head, and provides energy for the brain and the glands within it.
When the crown chakra is fully activated, the inner core of twelve petals opens and turn upwards - it resembles a golden cup, a golden crown, a golden lotus, or a golden flower. It receives the spiritual energy, which is distributed to other parts of the body. When the crown chakra is fully activated, a halo is produced around the head. During meditation, the crown chakra rotates so fast that it appears as a brilliant flame of light on the top of one's head.
What Happens During The Meditation On Twin Hearts?
When a person performs the Meditation on Twin Hearts, divine energy flows down to the person doing the meditation and fills him/her with Divine Light, Love, and Power. That person becomes a channel for this divine energy. People, who have practiced this meditation for a long time, may experience being covered with a dazzling and blinding light. They may also experience divine ecstasy and bliss, and a feeling of oneness with all creation.
This blinding and dazzling light is known as Heaven Ki in Taoist yoga, or the pillar of light according to ancient Jewish Kabbalah traditions. The Indian yogis and saints call this pillar of light, the Antakharana, or the spiritual bridge of light, while the Christians call this as the descent of the Holy Spirit. The descent of the divine energy causes a temporary expansion of the practitioner's major chakras and inner aura. But, if this meditation is practiced daily for a year, then the expansion may become permanent.
When someone who can see auras observes a person practicing the Meditation on Twin Hearts, he/she can see a great brilliant white light rushing to the crown and spreading throughout the entire energy body. This divine prana purges the energy body of contamination and produces physical healing.
Benefits From The Meditation
When people practice the Twin Hearts Meditation regularly, their major chakras and auras will increase in size, and make their energy bodies more dynamic and stronger. With bigger chakras and a larger inner aura they can become more powerful healers and can heal most of the minor ailments very quickly. When a person has a powerful and dynamic energy body, it not only enhances that person's healing powers, but also increases that person's overall performance and productivity at work. Moreover, a person who regularly meditates, becomes more intuitive and intelligent.
It should be remembered that those who intend to practice the Meditation on Twin Hearts regularly, should practice self-purification or character-building through daily reflection so that their positive characteristics will be magnified or activated.
Twin Hearts Meditation is said to be a form of world service where by blessing the earth with loving-kindness, the practitioners fill the world with positive spiritual energies. The blessings can be directed to organizations, specific countries, or a group of nations. The power and potency of the blessings are increased many times when the meditation is done by a group of persons. It is said that a group of seven people meditating together carry the same energy as more than one hundred individuals meditating separately. When practiced by a large number of people, the meditation can miraculously heal the entire earth; thereby making it more harmonious and peaceful.
Practicing the Meditation on Twin Hearts regularly does not only bring spiritual benefits, but it also enhances one's physical, psychological wellbeing - and thereby one's whole life in general. When doing this meditation, painful and obstructive and diseased energies are removed, allowing the healing energies to fill one's body and one's life.
Studies on this meditation technique have proved its beneficial effect on depression, addictions, and stress-related disorders. The Twin Hearts Meditation has also been said to be beneficial for chronic physical pain, blood pressure, and improving the immune system.
While everyone can practice the Meditation on Twin Hearts, persons under the age of 18, and persons with heart trouble, hypertension, glaucoma and kidney ailments as well as pregnant women are advised not to do the meditation.
